We Need It Too! ( Self Care for Counselors)

As someone who has been in the field for a while, self-care has always been a struggle and a focus. However, the counseling field, which provides specialty training in so many areas of healing and growth, often lacks focused training in the most important domain, how to have resiliency as a counselor. This training hopes to provide the knowledge, skills, and mindset exploration to improve Self-Care and thus, the longevity of participant counselors through a long, satisfying, and healthy career. This will include activities, discussions, education, and collaborative exploration.

Objectives:

• Participants will be able to define and/or re-define how they understand self-care and its role in resiliency as counselors.
