Description:
The field of Substance Use Disorders has evolved over time. This has included the expansion of pathways to becoming a clinician focused on substance use disorders. For many clinicians, they may start with a pathway leading right from formal education with an introduction through internships, introduction through personal connections or experiences, etc. However, there are also a growing number of Peer Support Specialists that seek to move into a clinician role. With the rise of Peer Support Specialists seeking movement into the clinician role, this has brought about various challenges in this transition of roles. This training will seek to explore these challenges and ways to overcome.
