***This training is scheduled to take place in person. The location is 30 Pointe Cir, Greenville, SC 29615.
This course will provide its participants with an overview of terms and definitions for shared language and a foundational knowledge base for working with this population. Participants will move from cultural competence to cultural humility by taking their foundational knowledge and learning how to apply it as an affirming provider. You will walk through the assessment, treatment planning, and a variety of case studies regarding typical scenarios you may encounter working with this population. These activities will serve as a practical application skills building process to identify affirmative protocols, techniques, and perspectives to increase clinical judgement and confidence in working with this population.
