Jodie Martin is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) with over 20 years of experience serving vulnerable populations in the Upstate. Since 2018, she has been a faculty member at the University of South Carolina Upstate, where she currently directs the Child Advocacy Studies Department and the Child Protection Training Center.
Jodie’s professional background includes working with families through Early Head Start, a local Federal non-profit agency, and serving individuals with disabilities and special needs through the Department of Disabilities and Special Needs. She also gained a deep understanding of Abuse and Neglect, Domestic Violence, and the family court system during her time with the Department of Social Services in both Spartanburg and Greenville.
Jodie holds a bachelor’s degree in psychology with a minor in Criminal Justice from the University of New Hampshire and earned her master’s in counseling from Webster University. She has been…
